At 2.79 I better fill up while I'm here, could be 3.00 by tomorrow, ya never know. The building in the back ground is across the street from where I work, same company. Do custom drying there, NFD Milk, WPC, etc. Whole town smells like hickory when they do the Liquid Smoke.

We are in a valley, so took a jot up the hill to wave at the big green guy...Ho Ho Ho, he really is a giant.
Truly is a Winter Wonderland, seven years here and its all still pretty amazing to me.

A couple more, I couldnt fit in one post..

They do have some nice big greenhouses, but I think maybe NW could grow something more interesting than corn or beans in them..

One last look down in the valley...wherever you go , there you are. I moved to Minnesota, here I am.

Nice tour around town there JW. Are you sure the price of the gas there was current? It runs 3.33- 3.65 a gallon here. Kerosene is 3.65 a gallon. Interesting sites there. I like the greenhouses, even if they are a tad small.

That big guy in the woods isn't little though! Edited by: appleman

Great pics JW, thanks for the ride around your town. I like to see towns that look like their still doing well with business.

It's amazing the difference from my house to yours. My wife are sitting in the living room right now with the windows open praying for the next breeze. We are afraid we are going to have to turn the air on before bedtime if it doesn't cool off. It's still in the high 70's here right now....... amazing.

Watch it buddy!!!!!! Air conditioning is cheaper then heating with oil so we may come down there and lynch you for even posting this!

I have a heat pump, so it cost the same to heat as it does cool, about $150 a month............. Thats why I had a heat pump put in! But you can still come down!

Thanks for the pics, JWMINNESOTA. I've been lurking here for years with nothing to add, but when I saw those pictures, I had to register, and give you a pat on the back.
As I do every day, I went to startribune.com this morning, to check the weather, and see if my friends are still alive. The weather said "dreary" (and all my friends that were alive yesterday are still alive).
Your pictures show the dreary, but omit the warmth of home, fireside, and friendship indoors.
What makes the cold and cloudy days complete for me is a song by the fire, as in the Hanover Winter Song http://biggreen65.tripod.com/id114.html

Welcome to the forum Lionel, glad you registered. All the warmth and friendship can be found right here, welcome aboard!

Welcome to the forum Lionel.

And, JW I enjoyed the tour as well. It reminded me that I worked on an
office building for GG in the sixties. My kids also went to college in
that area and we have ancient family ties to a little town south of you
called Tivoli. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, Lionel!
JW, nice tour. Today we are full of sunshine! It doesn't even hurt to go outside.
