It is a little bit of a late introduction but here goes. I live in Central New Jersey and I got into the hobby from my dad who began making wine kits around November 2012. I had been into commercial wines beforehand, and was surprised how good homemade wines could be. My only previous experience with "homemade wine" was from my relatives from Staten Island who served it from an E and J Brandy bottle with no cork and it had a wonderful aroma of vodka, vinegar, and mildew .
My family had decided that starting with the 2012 Chilean season we would begin making 150 bottles of wine for wedding favors, and bottles for the tables. With a year until my wedding we have 6 gallons of Chilean Cab. Sauv. and 6 gallons of Chilean Pinot Noir bulk ageing (only 18 gallons to go once September rolls around ). Thank you to everyone for all of your assistance, and I look forward to many years making my own homemade wine.
