Another Western PA member here...

I was out to lunch with some members from another forum and one of the mods here suggested I/We check the place out so here I am.
I've been making wine since Oct 2009. Have a couple kits under my belt, a couple batches of Apple wine (one from scratch, one from juice), some mead, a couple other fruit wines and a batch of skeeter pee. I just recently purchased 20 gallons of Chilean juice and it's in the secondary now. Fairly new still and looking forward to learning all I can.


I also just recently made my first purchase from George based on the high recommendations of everyone at the other forum.

Those are the 4 juices I've started since October. Total batches in various stages including those already drank due to being a newbie and not yet fully comprehending the whole patience thing is 15. All in all not bad since October, just need to let it age a bit before we drink or give away. It's so hard....One of the kits I made was for my bother in law's mother.


You are right, I need to get more carboys andI did pick up 2 more 5 gallon the day of our luncheon.


I currenly have about 60 bottles of wine on our shelves at this point and I have 25 gallons in carboys.

Picked up the chilean juice from Consumers Produce in the Strip District. Will be looking to ger juices in the fall again.

dont want to step on georg's toes, but luva bella just west of new castle sells just the juice.....chilean that is......some different options over the kits.....but dont worry george, as soon as i get back from vacation, will be buying two more kits to get going.....the question is where do i go next ?????? and i prefer the higher end stuff as you know.....
