I have started to do basic auto repairs, and was changing a wheel bearing. Shop wanted $500, so I told my son I would do it (his wife's car). It gives me a good excuse to buy new toys. It took an entire day, but I enjoy working with my hands (vs sitting at a computer all day long at work).

Well, in the process, I got to buy a 12 ton press to press in the new bearing (tried the screw type tools, and it didn't work for us).

Now, I have the major piece to make my own wine press ... Wahoo!!!

This is the one I bought ($125 less 20% off with text coupon):

The entire upper bar moves down (not just the center punch), which will make it easier to apply pressure across the entire rim of an inner bucket. With the A-Frame version, only the center punch moves down.

To get the 20% off coupon, text "tools" to 222377. You will receive a code good for 20% off any time. The coupon is good for 7 days, so don't do it until you are ready to make a purchase.

Yes. The bottom bar sits on the pins. The pins can be moved to any of the holes.

Seems sketchy to me that the pins do not lock into the holes.

they don't have to lock the channels will break/bend before the pins go anywhere.

I work with 200ton presses and none of them "lock" in.

The biggest danger is the piece that you are working with exploding...I've seen it...not pretty.

With the jack on top you have to prevent the oil from dripping down into the juice, many people also use these to press their apples by making a rack and cloth press from them, easier than making a wooden basket. WVMJ

That's nothing that a simple plastic garbage bag wont cure.
