I know this has been gone over and over and, you get the point, what is 1 Camden tablet equal to in Grams. bk

From my testing with the tablets I used to use 3.5 tablets in 5 gallons was equivalent to 1/4 tsp of k-meta. The only problem with that is Ive heard of a few different dosages recommended of the containers by different manufactures meaning to me that there are different strengths of these tablets.

For a few bucks - you can buy a measuring spoon that is suppose to measure out the equivalent to 1 campden tablet. But like wade said - they could be different strengths - so that would have to be taken into consideration.

I imagine each manufacture uses a different filler agent whne making them to form the tablet. This could be part of the reason for different strengths.

Being snowed in, 14" and counting, I figured I might as well do something so I calibrated my new PH meter and tested one batch of wine. It read 3.63 PH, which calls for about .26 grams per gallon (according to Wine Making For Dummies, how appropriate), if a tablet is .50 grams this will be simple. bk
