The Camry is available in a hybrid version now, but the redesigned 2025 Camry will be offered only as a hybrid car combining a gasoline engine with electric motors.

It will join a number of other Toyota models, such as the Sienna minivan, Venza SUV, the Sequoia full-sized SUV and others in being available only as a hybrid. And, of course, there’s still the Prius.

On my trip to California we rented a Prius and overall it’s a very nice car, a little underpowered but at 50 mpg and a very quiet ride I liked it. I’ll be looking for a new car in 4 years and it will definitely be a hybrid. I like the hybrid concept as I won’t need to put in a charging station and I won’t need to worry about finding a charging station when I travel long distances.
