Carboys

Can anyone tell how to tell the difference between carboys from Italy,Mexico, and is the one's from Amazon also different

Mexico ones are smooth in and out

Italian ones have ribs on the outside

Mexico no longer makes any

What He ^^^^ said! Italian seem to be inaccurate and hold a little under 6 1/4 gallons which seems to usually leave too much headroom in the carboy unless you make extra and that's hard to do with a kit wine and you usually have to top up with similar wine.

BUT when making fruit wines they(Italian) are great. after racking to Mexican you have a 6 gallon batch still

Nothing better in wine making to have as mant different size vessels as possible.
