Chardonnay vines won’t start?

Hi All,

First time poster. I bought three (3) year old vines from a nursery in Oregon in March. They delivered, I got them into a temporary pot, and then into permanent dirt at the beginning of May. The Merlo vine has taken off. The 2 Chardonnay vines ... nothing. I’m on the west side of Washington State. I don’t know when Chardonnay vines bud. Ideas?

are they still green. just make a small scratch on surface of vine, if not green they are dead. other wise just wait.

I’m in Olympia and my Chardonnay vines are growing nicely. Conversely, my Cabernet Sauvignon are struggling and only 50% have bud break.

Super Noob here, be patient. The wife took a snip 1/16 from the top... looks pretty gone to me.

My wife sniped off another 1/8" and found green in both. So now we wait and cross our fingers.
