We started the WE chocolate orange port tonight. Starting SG was a little low from what they said it should. It was at 1.120.

Already added the oak and pitched both packages of yeast and an hour later it is starting to bubble.

Is the low SG reason to be concerned?

Dan, this is the new W.E. version! What is the starting sg supposed to be and does this come with a dextrose addition for later?

SG is supposed to be 1.128 to 1.133 with first racking at 1.010.
So the starting SG was too low. Not sure what to do now because it has been fermenting for 12 hours.
