Cider Monica’s instructions not getting rolling

It’s been a few days here. I followed Monica’s cider instructions, but the fermentation just isn’t getting going. I used a cider yeast I found at my local shop. Maybe it was too hot when I put it in there? It may have been high 80s.

9/23/24 pitched yeast around 80F
10/1/24 added heat to bring up from around 65F
10/3/24 78F, bubble about the once per 30s

I recall the SG ini was about 1.110 after adding all the invert sugar.

Any advice? Thanks!

thanks for posting @QuiQuog ! I'll take that SG as soon as I get home from work this afternoon. We need metrics for sure.

I'm concerned that I'll miss something, it will sit there and get moldy and I'll have to toss it. It is crushed fruit after all: many variables there.

I was expecting a rolling boiling fermentation. It was days and days of it just sitting there, and I assumed more action would happen.
