Ok, a slight concern ... My last two kits have been MM Master Collection with raisins. The wine is not clear yet but appears to be darker in color then any kits I have made to date. I am almost positive that it's not oxidation. No bad odor and well protected with sulfites. Is it the raisins ?

Here is a pic ...

What variety is it?
I didn't now MM whites came with raisins.

I looked at the ads for the MM Master whites and yes, I am surprised they do come with raisins, so for asking.

I would think they would certainly make the wines heavier, thicker, so they would at least start out darker and richer until everything clears out of it.

Maybe someone who has made them this way will give you a better answer.

Hopefully once it clears it will be much lighter.

I really don't mind if it has a deeper color as long as it suppose to. I was just hoping someone else made this kit and can confirm,

Rick, Ican confirm. I made the same kitlast year and it is darker than I expected. In fact, I posted my concern at that time as well. Ours is still less than 1 year old so have not sampled much yet but appears to be developing nicely. It cleared more than your pic above at bottlingbut did keep more of the "orange" tint than I had seen before.

Sure wish I had taken a pic for comparison. I need to do better at that.

As it clears it will lighten up. Once it appears totally clear you might consider filtering it. I did a white that looked totally clear. After filtering the difference was night and day. I even called my wife into the wine room to look when it was half filtered and half not yet through the filter. The difference was amazing.
