Delayed start to fermentation

I have just started a new WinExpert Classic red (Merlot) Followed instructions to the letter. 2 1/2 days in no sign of fermentation starting. Not even those minute bubbles around the surface which are usually a first sign.

Question. Leave it alone fo a few more days before worrying? Temp 23C.

Perhaps I am the worrying type or just impatient!

Thx for your prompt reply. Very useful. I do make up a stater bottle at the end of day 2 but did not follow through as described in your post.

A massive mistake on my part. I should have done as described in your link.

Onward and wiser now. I’ll give it a bit more time and in the meantime.start your process as described in case I need it.
