Finer Wine Kit Do I need to use the bag for the skins that comes with the kit?

I am ready to start a Wine Expert kit that has the skins with it and the bag for the first time. I have made wine from grapes that I raise at home and just have juice and skins in the fermenter. Do I really need the bag? I have been searching for an answer on the forum but didn't find it.

You don’t HAVE to use it but it will make separating the skins from the must much much easier later on. I always use some type of mesh bag, not necessarily the cheesecloth bags usually included in a kit.

To me the part of winemaking is the hands on I’ll accept the extra work if required with in reason .
Sometimes the easy way isn’t fun, just my thoughts.

I usually use ladies pantyhose cut in smaller pieces. I buy them in a dollar store for $1.99. When I do fruit wine from fruits or frozen I cut in two separate pieces but for skins or seeds just small pieces work perfectly.

I use stainless dry hopping cylinders. ;-)
