Near a large tree in an all day wind storm.......

That WAS a pristine Chrysler Crossfire. We had a front move through yesterday and had winds in the 30-50mph range all day yesterday. The tree landed smack dab on top of the passenger side and the roof/window/hood on that side is caved in. The car is still there this AM. Gonna need a crane to move that tree or someone to cut it up piece by piece. I hope he had good comprehensive insurance!

Its been an extremely dry Winter/Spring so the roots have no moisture to help hold it in the ground. Our soil (if that's what you want to call it) is also very thin.

We get that here when the soil gets too wet. We had an ice storm about 10 years ago, over half an inch. Many of the housing developments are just about that age when the soft maples that everyone planted for quick shade are getting pretty big. We had houses, cars, everything got trashed, power was out for two weeks. Thankfully, I live in the country and don't depend on all of the services they do in the cities and villages. Those guys were devastated, we were just inconvenienced.

lOOKS TO ME LIKE THERE ARE ENOUGH BIG OLE BOYS THER TO YANK THAT TREE OFF THE CAR

The county came and cut up the tree yesterday morning and stacked the wood right there by the car.

The car was still there yesterday at lunch. Pretty sad looking especially now without the tree there!
