Not really interested in wine making, however the family I work for does make wine - but I'm looking for elderberries to make some jelly like my Grandmother used to make many years ago. We used to pick them right on a path close to her big old farm house, but the big old bears are eating them now and no one lives in the place on a regular basis anymore. I'm from Pittsburgh and wouldn't need "a lot" but sure would be happy to get my hands on some and taste the days of old! My youthful days were in rural Franklin, PA Thanks for any help..

Well welcome to winemakingtalk but I hate to tell this but elderberries are done for this year and to be honest I'm not sure if anyone would tell you where they are at, you know this is a wine forum and we are looking for elderberries to make wine!

as miss Julie has said most keep elderberry patches more secret then national secrets , but ( homewinery.com ) has some killer concentrates, including elderberry, I grow most all my berries and fruits, but cherry and plum I still have to buy, but I have cherry and plum trees a growing and I've added 6 more mulberry trees so I hope to have them covered in a few years,
