I know this has probably has been asked a ton of time. I went back to find a thread but have to get dinner on the table some time tonight lol. If you got a second share with me your favorite Orchard breezin Kits. Im getting ready to order my first one. Was leaning toward Watermelon White Merlot.
After my last Island Mist experiences. I'm going breezin lol

I did the Raspberry white zin as my first (and only) kit, and I think it's horrible, but everyone I give it away to loves it. I can enjoy a sweet wine, but this IMHO is horrendously sweet.

thanks cedar for your time ;) I cut my wine teeth on sick sweet wine!!
I dont like my last one but beginning wine drinker love it.
To me that's all that matters. Being proud that they love it and protecting my good dryer aging bottle!! Those are just for me (big grin)
I do love it when people come in and drink one of these quick wines and think its great. I made it so its a win win!! They are amazed and Im honored!!

I hope you didn't give up on all kits because of that lol

No, I've just discovered juice buckets and fresh fruit. Been thinking of getting a high end Cab kit to compare with what I've done with Cab juice buckets. Also trying to position myself equipment wise to at least try a few lugs of Cali grapes this fall.

It's definitely an addiction. :)

One thing I learned too late for my own use, is that a lot of folks add 1/2 the F-pack up front pre-fermentation on the OB kits, that probably would have made my wine less sickening sweet and more drinkable. Live and learn.

I don't make as many of these as I used to (I generally don't drink them) but the two I always like to have on hand are the Green Apple Gewurtz and the Acai Raspberry. The Green Apple is always the first bottle emptied at a get together.

I do add the FP half up front and at the end. I also *** more sugar to the primary to up the ABV

I went ahead and ordered the Watermelon White Merlot.

Blackberry Merlot of the few I've tried. Up the ABV a bit to increase the shelf life. Makes a good wine for non-wine drinkers IMO.

Made the Banana Pineapple Viognier ( split the batch in 2 and half of the batch I added coconut rum ( 375 ml to 3 gallons) people seemed to like it. But the Blackberry Merlot and the Black Cherry Pinot Noir, people seem to like them the most. I make it - I don't like the mist kits too sweet - but the wife and daughters like them. I have tried the island mist and orchard breeze - not a lot of difference but the orchard breeze is alittle better

I like them all. I've made them all. There are a few we like more than others but I have to say that they're all good. We even made the Island Mist which are also very good. At under $50 per kit for 30 bottles is a bargain. I add about 2lbs of sugar to crank it up a notch. I tried adding 4lbs but I think that was too much. :)
