Filters

Looking for some information on the filter below. It is a carbon block filter, 0.5 micron rated. Has anyone ever used this type of filter or does anyone know why I should not use it?

Also, the double pack is 1 micron rated polypropylene. I don't think there are any issues in using that but I would like your guidance.

Carbon is designed to remove off set tastes - it will change your wine taste - drastically

Well, then, glad I asked! Thanks all for your input. They were a really good price for 0.5 micron. When something sounds too good to be true,...etc.

I can return them to Amazon.

They are only 3.50 each for a 1 micron filter element.

I just ordered 5 of the 1 micron filters. I would like to try a sub-micron filter but I cannot find one that does not cost and arm and a leg.
