How long will one of the 30 count packages of corks (#9 1.75) last in the unopened bag? Is there a shelf life to them? I am not looking for an extremely specific answer, just one in terms of months, years?

I only ask b/c I am curious if they dry out in the bag if not used in a short time period.

They are in a sealed bag so they should last in there for years. Once opened store them in a resealed bag with the extra air pushed out before resealing. You could store them in a humidor for better shelf life.

I think you need to plan on starting enough new kits at the FRONT end that you don't have that concern at the back end!

LOL. OilnH2O is right. I've never had a problem with decaying corks, just a problem with an absence of corks when a bottling is needed. Of course, I don't order the 1000 cork bag.
