Starting a new job and the first day is tomorrow. This is going to be tough. I asked about dress code and they said comfortable work shoes/boots, shorts and a t-shirt. They said something about bottling day tomorrow.

You telecommuting from home again!

Get ready to work your butt off! First day is bottling- talk about baptism by fire! Good luck! Glad you got some work there Dan- have fun.

Mike you're right. This is so completely different from what I did in the past and I look forward to the hard work and experience I'll receive.

Dan, are you going to bring your vacuum pump to bottle? LOL

LOL so I guess if I walked on the job with a bottling wand in my back pocket, that might not be a good thing! Heck I don't even think I ever owned one in the past.

Put on your best Robert de Niro act and.....

Take a whiff of the first batch to bottle and say pH......3.6.......Acid ......7.1.........ahhhhhhhhhh..........

I love the smell of wine in the morning.........

All things considered, yes in the winter. It is about 30 miles, mostly interstate but through the most dangerous parts of the snow belt. I don't mind the commute but the winter will be a challenge at times and I actually like winter driving. On the other hand I'll be in the heart of vineyards in this part of the state and other orchards.

Best of luck at your new job.....does sound like it will be a lot of fun and a lot of work...

Congrats Dan. I'll be heading up there to get some juice the end of September. Going to get concord and niagra and make the blend you suggested. You have the job we all could dream of.
