It has been a rather warm winter so far (not that I am complaining).

Got a half inch of snow yesterday. Enough to make my first snowball of the new year.

I was planning on introducing the snowball to my wife, then thought better of it. She does know where I sleep and revenge is a dish best served cold..

An explanation for my southern friends.. This is snow (which happens when rain gets too cold)... :)

We had flurries for several hours yesterday. Looks like we might have a nice little storm this weekend. Finally!!!!

Calling for 1-2 feet in Canaan Valley, WV, where I'll be snowboarding soon - 8-12 inches here. :db

Which resort do you go to in Canaan valley? We usually go to timberline. My father knows the owner pretty good from playing music down there. I can pretty much go whenever I want and get put up in a cabin for the weekend! Canaan is just under 3 hours south of me.

Keep that crap up there. It's pretty but after the blizzard of 93 (21 inches in Athens, Tennessee ) I am over it for life.

Hey, I'll make you a deal.. You keep the heat in the summer down there, and I will keep the snow in the winter up here.. :)

Timberline when there with the family. I love their ski school for the kids. If its just me, I'll do either Timberline or Canaan Valley. Love it out there!!! 2.5 hours from here, so I don't mind doing a day trip by myself. Much easier now that there's a highway going most of the way there.

Don't look now Jim, but your area is 8 - 12" Friday and 8 - 12" Saturday. We've gone from 12 - 20" down to 8 - 12" in the last hour, so some of the models must be having it run further south.

We are currently having the discussion here at work about the conspiracy between the forcasters and the farmers/bakers, trying to sell more milk, eggs and bread by using a time proven technique, fear.
