Can't speak for everyone but I believe most will say plastic bucket - assuming it is food grade and is of sufficient space.

Great thank you all.

My last batch I had on my kitchen bench under the combi boiler is this an alright place to keep it as I don't have an airing cupboard anymore?

I really appreciate everyone's help and advice

What's a 'combi boiler'? As long as the temperature is not more than ~75 degrees F, you should be okay. Fermenting generates heat, and your yeast will have difficulty if it the juice/must gets over 80 F or so.

After fermenting, a constant temperature is more important than a cool one, but you shouldn't have it sitting in 80+ degree temperature either.

Just a "new" boiler the council put in in place of the old ones and the average temperature is 18°c
My first batch I made was the wilkos set and it ended up smelling and tasting of vinager :( shame because I really wanted to make the peach wine.
I suppose it's just trial and error as this is my first attempt at home brew

For the limited amount of time your juice is in the fermenting stage, I'd have to agree that the proper plastic vessel is the way to go. Citing aforementioned fermentation activity, plastic offers less likelihood for disaster!
