Well folks,

The vernal equinox is on March 20th at 6:45pm (EST).

That is just ONE MORE WEEK OF WINTER LEFT!!!!!!

The equinox brings thoughts of sunny warm days spent sitting out on my sundeck with a nice glass of wine in my hand and some sort of animal on my grill.

On the equinox the Earth's axis tilts neither away from nor towards the Sun and is perpendicular to the Sun's rays.

Thank You! It has been years since I took a science class, let alone a free one. :sh

We have had it here already for a week or so. When the real one gets here we will probably get a blizzard. Arne.

Well, spring began last Friday. I celebrated by shoveling the 5 friggin new inches of snow we received!

I sure hope that this is the last snow storm. About a third of the way into clearing my driveway, my snow shovel finally had enough. The handle snapped right at the point where it meets the blade. I had to finish the driveway off using a standard flat shovel. Took forever!

After I got done, we got a call from my SIL down in Atlanta. Oh how she went on about how it was in the mid 70's and beautiful. There are times that I truly despise family.. just kidding... maybe... :)

BTW, it was 24 degrees this morning.

WOW, you wore out a snow shovel. That is not really the way to get your daily workout. Hope spring gets there pretty soon. Arne.

John we only had a dusting of snow up here, but we had you way beat with cold. Yesterday morning it was 4 degrees and today it was an even 0. Top that off with a very refreshing BREEZE and it spells COLD. Working inside again today.

What can I say except... Wow! I hate to think what your heating bill is like!
