Folks,

For those of you that like rock, and are 40+, most are likely to say that Woodstock was the greatest concert of all time. Well, I would choose differently.

On October 29th and 30th 2009, there was a concert in Madison Square Garden (NYC - my backyard). This was the 25th anniversary of the rock and roll hall of fame.

I remember having to miss the concert. I can't seem to remember why. I seem to remember that the tickets were insanely exspensive. Since I never got tickets and never went to the concert, I simply put it out of my mind, that is until a friend of mine gave me a 3 disc DVD set.

I must say that this DVD concert is mind-blowing. Artists range from CSN, Paul Simon through Aretha Franklin, Sam Moore. The most hilighted portion of the set was performances by Jeff Beck, U2, Metallica, and (fellow Jersey Boy) Bruce Springsteen. Other performaces include Sting, Mick Jagger (doing a great "gimme shelter" with Fergie from the "black eye peas"),and Patty Smith.

I have only scratched the surface on the artists that performed over those two days. If this type of music appeals to you, I would recommend that you get this DVD. Best $20 you'll ever spend.

Looks like its available on Netflix as well. Thanks for the tip, I will add it to my queue!
