Hello. I am not eactly new to winemaking, but have been away from the hobby for about 3 years, that is after being in the hobby for about the same amount of time. I just recently started 5 batches of wine within the past 3 weeks. Talk about jumping back in with both feet, huh? (LOL) Even though I hadn't been with the hobby for long prior to stopping, it didn't stop me from gaining some notariety and fame from fellow members of the brew club I previously belonged to. I am exciting about joining this forum, and look forward to sharing knowledge as well as learning as I now resume my journey into the world of vintification. So once again, Hello everyone, and happy fermenting!!!

Thank you all for the welcome. Currently, I have 2 30 day quick wines (low alcohol/ Arbor Mist style), one of which is a white cranberry peach, and the other, I call Tropical Berry, made from a Pineapple, berry, passionfruit juice blend. The others are all kits I started on Thursday: a Selections White Zin, an Island Mist Apricot Peach Chard., and a Strawberry Margarita Twisted Mist kit. Now don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed making wines from fresh fruit and grapes as well, but considering it's winter here and the fact that I am just getting my feet wet again after an, at least, 3 year hiatus, this was the easiest way to start back into it (not too mention the fact that the 30 day wines actually do come out quite delicious). When I was with the club, we did all kinds of fruit wines. We tried to do what was in season each month, and when nothing really was in season, we did different styles from juices and concentrates, including the club favorite "Kick-A-Poo Joy Juice". Hopefully this spark will remain ignited, and burn like a funeral pyre for a long time to come. :)

WElcome, You mite use one of the slurrys to try a batch of Skeeter Pee. Fast easy wine, early to drink. Great summer drink and you willhave it ready for summer if you start now. Check it out at skeeterpee.com. Arne.

thank you.....sounds interesting. just might have to try it with the slurry from my apricot peach chard, maybe adding a pkg of frozen peaches to enhance the peach from the slurry, as well as a pkg of frozen berries for added flavor and complexity. should make it more pallatable to the girlfriend since she's not a really big fan of plain lemon.
