Just have a question on the Active Users List, for example it shows
Guest 1 has been on for over 1400 min and writing a reply but can a guest write a reply?Maybe they type as slow as I do

.

How do you know they are writing a reply? I do not see that part. I am pretty sure that only members can post but probably anyone can write, its when they go to post it that they will have a problem but not sure on that.

The time is a total of that person's session and I saw guests writing replies quite often but as Wade said they can write all day long but can't post!

I have been watching theguests for 30 min., several are registering now. They must have read this post

Guests will include search spiders and we get a lot of hits from them.

A spider is a program that visits all the links on a web page and then all the links on the web pages that it follows getting a picture of the web and all the interpage connections.

It's a good way to trace out the structure of a network and thus is not a good thing for anonymous people to do to your network or your web site. People like Google do it to manage their databases. Bad guys do it to find out where your web goes and what potential vulnerabilities it has.

That answers it. I guess it's sometimes a good thing like "google" searching to tabulate data and ranking by number of hits, I call it a good thing since that's how I found George's site

, it was the first one I clicked on.

Thanks for the info
