Hope you and your familys are all safe during the holidays. Eat well, Drink well, and home safely. :thg

We get to see some family members we have not seen for quite a while. The kids all go to the in-law side for Thursday, we get to have them all here Saturday. Stretch it out, eat til you bust more than once. Wishing you all a great holiday. Arne.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well, and to everyone here at WMT!

Well, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I would like to express my gratitude for the members of this forum. You have been extremely helpful in getting my little wine hobby off the ground and running. Thank you for your camaraderie, companionship and assistance.

I know Arne already used this smilie, but it is the only time of the year it makes sense:

Happy Thanksgiving to all. We have company coming from Florida, Indiana and Delaware and we are so looking forward to a great family get together.

I am always reminded, at this time of year, of an amusing story of when I was working for a Fortune 50 company. We had employees worldwide and it was around Thanksgiving in the mid 1990's. There were several associates from Britain in town and we were at a local watering hole for a few pre holiday pops. The conversation got around to the Thanksgiving holiday and one of the Americans asked a Brit, "How do you celebrate Thanksgiving in England?" Another of the Americans said, "You dummy! That is an American holiday and they don't celebrate it in England!" One of the Brits replied, "Well, that is not entirely correct. We do celebrate Thanksgiving except that we celebrate it on July 4th." I love the British sense of humor!

A Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am much happier this Thanksgiving than last. Last year I had just been told I had cancer and needed an immediate biopsy. The surgeon was off and the hospital was closed to most surgery, so I had to "enjoy" Thanksgiving not knowing much about it, but only that I had some sort of lymphoma. Well the holiday came, I got the biopsy the next week and then another month of tests, all through Christmas and then the New year. I am glad to say that shortly after Jan 1st I began treatment for follicular cancer (an incurable type). I had 6 months of chemo and am Happy to say I can now enjoy a Happy Thanksgiving being in remission for the present time. I am very thankful to be enjoying this forum with you all, hopefully for quite a few years more.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. May your hearts be full of love and bellies full of food!
