I used to do that at Casa Larga Winery in Rochester, New York. I knew the owner and his family and we had a couple of very enjoyable week ends each year. It was a great experience.

I know small wineries appreciate work experience exchanges and I always appreciate some helping hands. Today it was just me and one of my sons most of the day until anpother got home to help for a while. Today wasn't a good day for me as I was vomitting with a temp of almost 102. I'm supposed to call the oncologist if it goes above 100.4, but that doesn't get the work done. Just took acetominophen to lower it and kept going.
Anyways, off topic here............ Have fun helping and realize the person being helped always appreciates it.

Hope you get better soon....

That harvest was above 50k lbs and counting when I left, yes over 25 tons..!!
And there was more to get and that was only their Seyval varietal, we didn't get to harvest the Chardonnay.
They also have some reds.
I think they have over 100 acres planted.
