My name is jeff, 31 year old gas plant operator in western alberta, canada. Been an avid drinker of red wines for the last year or so, and just last week bought a wine starter kit ( primary fermentor and all the necessities). I've been reading this website for more than a few hours a day for the last 3 weeks trying to immerse myself in the insane amount of experience the folks on this site collectively have. Looking forward to starting my first batch on days off, with a focus on fresh fruit wine. Im going to buy some wine kits down the road but thought i might start with a blueberry. Anyhow, this online community is great, keep it up people!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Get a recipe and try making a few gallons.

Keep it clean -- I mean your wine equipment and you will make some great wines with the satisfaction that you made it!

Welcome to the forum. Throw a batch of Skeeter Pee together. It is done pretty fast and will give you something to drink while your others are aging and being made. It will also hellp you get some of the basics down. Best part is if it doesn't come out, you aren't out very much. It almost always comes out ok. If you make it, you can always just use a pkg. of yeast instead of the lees off another batch. Starts easier with the lees, but yeast will work. Arne.

Welcome to the forum. Try the Welches recipe it is not hard to make and it will make good wine.
