Looking forward to my first harvest of grapes and learning from others the steps to take to make homemade Italian wine. Lots of information online but it’s great to learn through others experiences.
Welcome! I’m a big fan of the Italians. Have Barolo and Nebbiolo in bottles, and another Barolo and a Montepulciano in bulk aging. All from juice buckets.
You have a purple shirt and so are half way to making excellent wine.
But, concentrate on sanitation, good wine making practice, and keeping your wine away from oxygen. That works for all wine.
Now, oddly, I am in Lakewood Colorado right now, and it does not seem like the best place for good grapes. What's your source? If you grow them here, what varietals survive the winter?
