Howdy!

I am a Missouri native who has been around the wine industry ever since I was a kid when my Grandfather owned a chain of restaurants and I pitched in as beverage manager.

Once I was able to "legally" hold the title, I worked on getting my Somm certification. Eventually I went over to the retail side where I got my Certified Specialist of Wine and spent some time as a Wine Steward for Safeway.

For the last couple years I've been studying wine production at the Northwest Wine Academy and will be interning at Convergence Zone Cellars in Woodinville.

I look forward to having fun discussions here.

Welcome Amber. Sounds like a line of employment I'd love to be in! We used to live just north of woodinville - up around the way from The Maltby Cafe. If you haven't dined there it's a great breakfast place; but I am sure you have. While living up there I didn't get to visit many wineries as I had babies on my hips; just a little bit of tasting here and there. I'm in Idaho now and am just now being able to get out and explore the local wineries here. I am sure you will be able to not only enjoy the company here on the forum, but add to the conversations.
