I raise goats and chickens. I recently learned how to make goat cheese. :HB
I'm new to winemaking. So new in fact, that I've never made wine. I'm here to learn!

My partner and I are going to try to make a dry apple wine for starters.
Wish us good fortune.

Hello sidekick! and Welcome!

I miss Colorado so much. One of my best friends in the whole world is from Pagosa Springs. I lived in the Springs as well as Pueblo West for awhile, but now I'm in Texas. I miss kayaking on the Arkansas!

I've fallen down the chicken hole, but I haven't been able to convince Manthing that we need a goat yet.
I would love to figure out goat cheese! Congrats. How's it taste? Have you tried feta yet?

So what kind of wine are you wanting to make?
Grape? Fruit?

Right now I seem to be stuck in a mead phase that just will not go away.

In any case, you have come to the right place. You will find all kinds of advice and helpful people around here.

Welcome to the forum!

I was once sent to an IBM class that was being taught in Boulder, CO. It was about 20 years ago so that would have made me about 52 years of age while attending. I swear, that for the week I was there, I didn't see a single person that looked older than me! Tons of young people with degrees from the University hanging around doing jobs that didn't even require a High School degree. Was told that many young folks would simply fall in love with the area and work whatever job they could in order to stay in the area. Don't know whether any of that is true today or even if it were true 20 years ago - just seemed to be the case.

Welcome, Western co, head to Palisade or Junction and buy yourself some grapes and talk to folks!
