new to wine making, have a nice orchard and started my first batch of wine this year. I'm sure i'll have lots of silly questions that may amuse some of you. I have cherries, plums, pears, grapes, and apples in my orchard and hope to make wine yearly. This time i'm trying plum/grape and have 10 gallons fermenting.

Welcome!

We all started from scratch, just like you, so ask away.

There are a lot of tutorials in that section of this forum. Maybe they can get you started.

Welcome to a fellow Michigander. I thought you would be way North of me, but more so, way West. I am from Grayling.

Nice

Freeze and perpetuate the obsession.
Just started myself.
Two batches in, people that have been making and drinking homemade wine from family traditions and good grapes, tell me this latest vintage is the best homemade wine they have ever tasted. My secret (winemaking talk.com) and
Shhh just between you and me cranberry mixed in with my grape concentrate.
Really a total obsession. Gotta love Michigan, what a beautiful state.
If you have some patience and good fruit the rest is Gods work. Simple care and observation will make potentially great winter experiences for you and your friend and family.
Cheers and best wishes
