I am Bob, and am new to this site. It seems really informative, and i hope to both glean from it, usefull information, and possibly contribute a some point.

I live in NW Arkansas, where we are very lucky to have an abundance and wide variety of fruits to work with.

Primary : 15 lbs mashed Peaches with white grape juice and 1 lb of raisens.
Primary : Cynthiana/Norton grapes crushed in a plastic tub. 85 lbs worth
secondary: peach
bottled : white grape juice and peaches, turned out really well the first time, i have my eye on 2 bottle i gace away in 1998, which have not been opened...i am going to try to trade them out of them???:tz

Answer to how long i have been making wine

I was raised by my paternal grandparents. Wine making, and all kinds of food preservations were the norm in our house... He made all kinds of wine, and i helped by providing a cheap labor source... needless to say, we tend to test our "fathers" footsteps a bit when we can, so i tried winemaking in my early 20's, and as i remember did quite well, atleast there were no complaints from my test gallery, but then it did have alcohol in it, and we were in our 20s..

I once again made a couple batches in the late 90s, and again 2000-2001.
My wife and I find ourselves leaning towards preserving and living better, and have made lots of jams and preserves, put up tomatoes, relish, salsa, ect...
soo i started feeling the wine itch again, and so here we go....

I really feel no draw towards kits and cans..... i pefer to have a hands on approach..
