Thanks everyone for the welcome. Steve, I'm actually in the N.W Suburbs of Chicago. I've been looking at your pump and have read some nice reviews on it. I'm getting close to purchasing a starter kit (primary, carboy, air lock, etc..) and as I move up the scale from complete novice to feeling comfortable with wine making I'll be keeping you and your pump in mind.
