My husband and I have been making wine since 2011. We'd talked about it and then he cleaned out my rhubarb patch. So then I decided to make rhubarb melomel. Then made raspberry wine from our own raspberry patch. Made a very novice mistake, not using enough stabilizer, and LOL, we had corks popping all over. Put it back in the carboy. The rhubarb has been bottled for a year. It's pretty tasty.
So far we've bottled, in addition to the two above:
blackberry wine
frozen cherry wine
mixed grape wine
raspberry dessert wine
blueberry wine
apple dessert wine
leftover wine (all of the leftovers from the above wines)
In the carboys are:
cranberry dessert wine
another raspberry dessert wine
strawberry dessert wine
Obviously, we prefer fruit wines (heavy on the fruit flavor).
Hope to learn so much more about this fascinating hobby. The end product's not bad either.
