I live in Hillier, Ontario which is part of the Prince Edward County appellation. Given the number of commercial wineries around here I thought it'd be fun to grow some grapes and make some wine.
I've made a few juice bucket wines (Festa) with ok-ish results (needs more acid!). Currently have a few carboys of Chardonnay on the go made with grapes I lucked into from a local grower. Also have some cider bubbling away made from some wild apples.
Also I planted some grape vines in the spring, all hybrids (Marquette, Petite Pearl, Frontenac Noir + Blanc) so hopefully I'll be making wine from my own grapes in a few years.
Anyways I still have a lot to learn which is why I'm here. I really don't know what I'm doing but its worked out so far
