How tenacious is MLB

I started MLF in a Speidel, now that its chugging along I am going to move the wine to a 3 gallon carboy and a 5 gallon carboy. Will the Speidel be ok to use for things that I don't want to MLF right away? Will Star San kill the MLB?

Star San in an appropriate dosage level should kill the MLF bacteria. Don't rinse it after cleaning the vessel.

Thanks, I am going to do a kit soon, and some cider, and I don't want an accidental MLF. I guess it wouldn't be the end of the world in the cider, but I'd rather not.
