I bought mine at a restaurant supply house..... Potato smasher! Cannot remember the price.... But it was cheap.

Great idea!!!!! I will try that too. I am either doing a 50 gallon brute or I might buy a 300 liter fermenter from my supplier. Can't decide!!!!!! Fermenter would have a spigot and screen. I feel like it would make it easy but it's not cheap. :/

I am only doing about 18 gallons but they said I could use the 225 liter or just get the 300 liter so I have extra and more room for my next batch!!!! I am doing 198 lbs of grapes!!! God I hope I don't screw it up. Lol. Eek

Nayrea, we run a clean forum here. No talk about tool length now! All you need is one long enough to get the job done ( sorry, just couldn't resist). I suspect the one shown would be long enough for what you are doing.

I use a rake for a punch down tool. It works great for about 300-400 pounds of Chambourcin that we do every year.
