That sort of thing gets really complicated. Were they being enticed? How can you prove that, one way or the other?

I can't say about this specific case, but sometimes folks are just looking for someone to blame for their own failures. I guess if there were no cars, no one would ever get killed in a car wreck, or if there were no sun, there would be no skin cancer.

The same kind of crowd that blames McDonalds and Coke for them being fat. When you purchase something and put it in your own mouth you should only be able to hold yourself accountable.

what the heck ever happened to Americans being able to make choices!
The store chose to open a business, what sounds to me to be a successful one, and the tribe CHOSE to buy his product. How is that the stores fault?
I can't believe liberal america any more.

Well people would always find something to complain about - if there was no sun - there would be no skin cancer - but everybody would be in severe depression from the increased melatonin levels..

When 'they' start taking women away from us, I'm going to get really, really mad! :)

Aw, come on. Enticed by Budweiser posters? To drive to the 'beer stores' (is beer all they sell?), go inside, pick out and pay for the beer and then drive it back to the reservation, where it is officially not welcome? Now, maybe if they offering unlimited free samples, you could say they were enticed...

Or if, instead of beer, it was a wine shop selling delicious cabernet at a cut-rate price, I could see an argument being made...

I have nothing but respect for native americans. They have been given a rough deal.

That said, I thought that reservations were considered as separate countries. If so, then why are they not policing their borders? Why are they allowing their own people to bring alcohol onto their land? Clearly this is not the responsibility of the liquar store (where the sale of beer is legal). They should punnish their own people and not the store.

If someone goes into another country, say, to purchase cuban cigars where the sale of cuban cigars is legal, do we sue that country for giving us lung cancer? Of course not.

If you get caught smuggling cuban cigars across the US border, do you get fined or punnished? Of course you do.

This should be no different. They need to patrole their own borders and deal with their own people's violation of their laws.

The whole suit is just typical behavior (of some) always blaming someone else for their failures, never to accept responsibility for their own actions. :s
