Hello my name is rajeev and i have a small winery startup in my area.. I usually make fruit wines and till now i havent been quite successful in making wines..
I refered to a wine making book known as joy of home making and according to the recepie given i made the wines but somehow i am not able to make great wine out of it..
Is it not good to store wines in plastic barrels or whats happening..
Some of my wines are not even dinkrelable

Depends on the type of plastic I believe, food grade HDPE should work well. PET would work too. Not sure about oxygen penetration in the HDPE but PET is a decent O2 barrier. Of course glass/ceramic or stainless steel is best.
GIGO applies to more than computer languages too my friend.

Edit: correct an auto correct mistake!

I think we need some more information:

What recipes have you tried?
What does the wine taste like? That is, in what way is it bad.
How long was it in the plastic barrel?

And welcome to WMT!

One problem with using barrels for long term storage is head space. Laying the barrels on their sides reduces this and therefore reduces the amount of air in contact with the wine. Also, what on earth is wrong with your wines? Even wines fresh from fermentation should be at least drinkable.
