Several Air Locks bubbling away at once...lol....My office smells unreal again!

Tom
The problem I for see -

When they stop bubbling and they go into storage or aging process and all you can do is stare at them !!!
Knowing that they want to be tasted !!

Tom, I know what you mean. I have 4 batchs bubbleing away. From scratch a raspberry, from scratch cranberry. Island mist peach, apricot charddonay suger adjusted for ABV of 10%, and a WE merlot. Have 2 juice bucket on order and 8 carboys in various stages og bulk ageing. My son in law says I need professional help. LOL. Bakervinyard

There's Tom! Been wondering where you ran off to! :h

I like it when the whole house gets that yeasty smell. Then, I know those little fellas are doing their job!

Dave!!!! Been busy bud, this is our busy season, almost overwhelming at times!

mmadmikes1- you have a valid point! LMAO!

bakervinyard - LMAO! I have Montepulciano, a Berry Blast (an updated version of the berry bliss melomel loaded with fruit, double the usual amount, it it incredible at this point!), and 6 batches of all grain beer...lol

I enjoy the sound and smell of the ferment.

I need to start a mead to put this nearly 15 lbs of honey to use. I'm leaning toward adding elderberry to it.

I used 22 lbs of fresh honey for this current batch.
The batch that is 4 months old is gett better and better, I cant wait to try it after a year!

My favorite is just after pressing, when all the clean up is done. I relax in the winery, turn off all noise making devices, pour a glass, and sit and listen to the sound of several gurgling traps. One of the not well known pleasures in winemaking!

Like they say, the enjoyment of the simple things in life. The airlocks are definately music to the ears.

I also enjoy the sound of the waterless air locks. They don't gurgle, they make a sort of psst sound. It's cool when fermentation is really heavy, as they really - "go-da-town" as they say in the South.
