My wine making neighbor and I have a regular joke thing going between us. Since I'm a half mile off of a road, I can get away with putting up most anything without public notice. I've had a sign on my vineyard for a couple years.

This weekend we're having our annual apple squeeze and this is what he'll be greeted by: (made it last night in 5 hrs for a joke!):D

This is the other sign.

I can't see the joke, but I do like your signs. Nice job, Arne.

Neither of us are commercial nor intend to be. When I Planted more grapes in my vineyard and set up some new equipment he said he was going to put up a sign at the end of my driveway pointing up saying tasting room. The road is the only road to a ski area about 12 miles on up and you could imagine the traffic.... and what would be coming up my drive looking for a tasting room ! So, now I have a "tasting room". The sign will NOT be outside on a regular basis !!

My buddy and his wife came in laughing. The others did not know about the thing going on between us and never had a clue. He did sort of fill them in when he said he was going to make a sign for his driveway (right next to mine) with an arrow pointing to mine saying tasing room this way......

I have an advantage. My vineyard is almost 1/2 mile off the main road and you can see his from the road, 1/4 mile. You will also see his as you come up my drive and I have the usual private drive, no trespass signs up on my gate. Just put them up for hunting season as my drive looks like a poor county road and I do get some traffic until they see it's just to my house.
