I have been wanting to make wine for years and this year I got inspired to do so by a friend who makes mostly fruit wines. I live in Bama 3 months and then Florida three months off and on so timing is gonna be important to me.
My first batch is a gallon of blackberry jam wine I am doing to just actually go through the procedures. It is a learning experience.
Next, I have an inexpensive kit from Amazon (chardonnay) which I will start as soon as my wine making area is finished. I is under my deck with access to a dirt floor basement where I hope I can age wine. Don't know about the heat in there yet during the summer.
