I'm new to wine making. I'm working on my first batch of wine and mixed a solution of k-meta for sanitizing at 2 oz. / gallon water. One thing I noticed is that the smell of k-meta on my hands has a chemical smell a lot like the old photographic fixer used in processing b&w film and photos.

Now that smell is on my hands and I tried washing my hands several times with soap and water, but smell remains. Is there an easy way to get rid of smell?

I agree with heatherd. I know lemon juice is what I use after cleaning shrimp, fish, bait, etc. It seems to get rid of a lot of smells.
