Considering getting a Liebfraumilch kit. It comes with an F-pack. Not sure I want a sweet wine. Can I just eliminate the F-pack or use only a portion of it and still come out with a good tasting wine?
 
Your best bet would be to add most of the f-pack to primary. That way, you get the flavor without the sweetness. It will increase ABV, however, so you have to decide if you want that.
 
I have always found Liebfraumilch is high acid and requires a bit of residual sweetness, but the amount included is way too much. I would add 1/2 to the primary and then use the remaining to add to taste on the finished wine. I would expect about 1/4 of the original fpack would be close.
