Hi all,

I'm going away for 5 days.
My Vintners Reserve White Zin (according to calendar days) was due for Stabilizing and clearing yesterday. Checking my SG, it's just at 1.0. Per the instructions, this kit should be at 0.996.

The temps of the carboy have been closer to the 70 range, so I can understand if it's taken a little longer to get my SG down.

The question is - am I fine leaving it for another 5 days before I stabilize and clear? I've read plenty about "after" stabilising and letting it age, but not much about a longer secondary prior to.

Thx
Greg

As long as its in a carboy with the airlock on (and filled) it should be just fine. Give it a gentle stir before you go and make sure the airlock is seated firmly into the carboy.
