does anyone know what the difference is between the all juice masters kits and the meglioli kits? for instance what makes the Meglioli amerone $60.00 more than the masters kit? thanks for any info on this subject. Ron.

Good question, I don't have an answer as Ive only done the Meglioli. Assume there is something there to kick it up a notch to be a limited edition, or perhaps the juice is resourced from a higher quality place. Feel free to send me a masters and I will make it to compare.

Thanks for the generous offer. I'll have to think about that for a second. second over.

Meglioli are limited edition kits with juice sourced from an area that is 1 time only. They might have other Meglioli Amarones through the years, however, each year the Meglioli will be different. It's designed by Meglioli himself.

The Masters edition is consistent from year to year to provide excellent results.

Dean,
I wonder also if the Megiolis aren't a higher quality juice. I have made both and think the Meg juices richer and more flavorful than the MEs but then I have only made red Megs. Whites may be different. As to the finished wines, it is too early to tell. Our oldest is only 10 months and I haven't bottled it yet.

And Ron, it may be worth knowing a little about our bias here at Put-in Bay. SWMBO prefers reds and rarely drinks white while I prefer reds most of the time but enjoy whites in the summer. So, I am inclined to spend more $ on red kits than white kits. Also, it seems to me that it is more difficult to make a good red out of a kit while the whites come out very well without much tweaking. Thus, giving ourselves the best chance with high quality(and higher $)juices for reds seems appropriate.
