Back in January, I put on a batch of wine made from cherry juice from Michigan. I had made cherry wine from sour cherries when I lived in Rochester, New York and my daughter wanted me to make another batch. It started out very high in sugar and therefore very high in alcohol. It was tasting fine until the alcohol started to overwhelm the fruit tast, so I stewed some white raisins and added them to the wine after sorbating. The taste is now very nice and the wine is still "for adults only" but it should make a nice aperitif or dessert wine. It is not something that you can sit around all afternoonsipping unless you want to end up naked in the middle ofColumbus or howling at the moon.

And what is the problem with sitting around, sipping it antd then running around naked howling at the moon. Actually maybe it would be others howling at you mooning them!

Really, is that a problem in Columbus? I've been there (in Columbus that is) a few times, that why I ask.

One is liable to see anything here after a Michigan game and regardless of the outcome!

Bottled it today and got 20 full bottles out of the batch. I am putting it away for about 6 mos to a year, maybe open some at Christmas. Yum!
