Bought this bucket for $30.
Worth the money to try, been refrigerated at low temps and hope it will come out ok.
Going home now and need to check ph and TA. Hope to find the formula to check TA with my ph meter and nao2 solution.

Wild yeast has taken SG way down.
I'm getting different readings and looks like is around 1.016

Would you Not pitch any yeast at this point??
Ph is around 3.6x

Does the lid have a grommet? If it does my thinking is you can use the bucket for a corkador. Did that with the a MM all juice kit bucket. Works great.
 
Lots of heavy sand like sediment, stirred really well and SG seems more like 1.010

Must temp in low 40s.

Sorry, picture is not the Muscat. I bought the Muscat though.
 
Frankie at M&M recommended to get the juice temp up to 60 and then pitch EC-1118 even if the SG is at 1.010 as EC-1118 is high alcohol tolerance.

I'm on the fence on this one and will wait until tonight and make a decision.
 
I agree with Frankie. And will add that you should cross your fingers, say a little prayer, and do a voodoo dance. ;)

When I get home I will check.
But at the same time I've been thinking what would happen if I get get and let the wild yeast finish it lower to 1.000 ?

If I add EC-1118 now at 1.010, I wonder about lot of yeast not depleted IF it brings it lo 0.99x

Or maybe add sugar to 1.020~1.030 and then pitch yeast?

I will report later....praying right now...
 
Are you sure that they didn't add yeast and this is wild yeast? I know the juice buckets we get fro @Luva Bellla's has 1118 added to them.
 
To my knowledge is not pre inoculated. But good question Julie and may be hard to find out for sure and more being a weekend....sigh
 
Just got home and pitched EC-1118 directly. Then dissolved like 2gr of Fermaid-K in a bit of warm water and added to the bucket, then stirred just a little.

We'll see what happens by the morning....:slp
