Hey that looks great. Obsessed is good as long as your wife favors your wine over commercial. Then your obsessed and she's the enabler.

Too Damn Funny! My hubby's gone wild brewing beer, we bottled another batch last night and made a new batch too. I think we are going to start fighting over carboys soon (since I told him I'll need the 5 gal one in another week for racking my wine).... Right now, I (actually both of us) am calling it a healthy winter hobby.

I don't think you have an obsession, you are just trying to stock up, :)

Dan is right. With grapes, juice buckets, frozen must and kits this is a 12 month a year activity. My Grandfather used to live for each October when the "grapes were in" at the Strip in Pittsburgh. It was like an annual holiday for him and I think he looked forward to it with greater anticipation than Christmas.

Rocky,
I haven't told you yet, but there's a trip to Chi-town in the fall for some Brehm Frozen must :h:slp

There is a place, I think, just southeast of Pittsburgh that sells the Brehm products. I think it would be about a 3 hour drive each way. Chi would be much longer. Just a thought. Here is some info:

Pennsylvania Keystone Homebrew Supply
435 Doylestown Road (Rt. 202) Montgomeryville, PA 18936
Tel: 1-215-855-0100

I googled keystone and it showed it was hear Philly. Pitt would be MUCH better!

Steve, I called Brehm today and they will have a distributor in the Fall near Pittsburgh. They will send out an email and I am on the list.

That means I have to get a press now. I rally want to start making wine from frozen must :mny

For single batches of Brehm frozen grapes, one can get by without a press, but if you are serious about wine making and you can't rent a press locally, bite the bullet and get yourself that press.

Vadai Barrel also sells economical presses.
